| Decision(s): At a public meeting held on 21 November 2007 The Minister deferred making a decision as he required clarification of information presented at the meeting by the applicant.
Upon receipt of clarification the Minister Refused the application. |
| Reason(s) for Decision: The removal of the render is an inappropriate form of alteration of the building which is a Proposed Site of Special Interest. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy G13 of the Island Plan 2002 which states that there will be a presumption in favour of the preservation of the architectural and historic character and integrity of registered buildings and places. Permission will not normally be given for external works which would adversely affect the architectural or historic interest. |
