Vehicle Fleet Management

Fleet management services are provided for the Transport and Technical Services and other States Departments with vehicles and mobile plant at a cost effective hire rate.

A summary of services available from the Fleet Management Services section:

Fleet Management.

Specialist fleet management services are available to all States departments and Parishes for advice on selection, procurement, maintenance and disposal of vehicles and plant. Detailed fleet costing is maintained for vehicles controlled by the section to enable monitoring of running costs, cost effectiveness, utilisation and economic replacement.

Contract Services.

A service providing comprehensive vehicle leasing packages to States departments offering all the financial and efficiency benefits of corporate fleet management.

Workshop Services.

For those departments who own vehicles and plant the Section’s Bellozanne Workshops are able to offer experience in servicing and repairs covering the complete range from cars, light and heavy commercials, heavy mobile plant, agricultural and horticultural machinery.

The fully equipped workshop is staffed by 12 qualified technicians and 4 supervisory / support staff. All staff are trained and competent to work on the very wide range of vehicles and mobile plant in operation within the States’ customer departments.  In general terms the workshop completes in excess of 3000 jobs per year which are all recorded using a computerised job recording / costing system.

Fuel Services. (only available to States Departments)

This facility is already used by twenty departments in addition to Transport and Technical Services and consists of security key activated self-service pumps sited at Transport and Technical Services La Collette and Bellozanne Depots.

Short Term Hire (only available to States Departments)

In addition to its contract hire agreements the section also has a selected range of vehicles and plant available for short-term “spot” hire on a daily rate basis. These consist of the following types of assets:

• Small van
• Large van
• 17 seat minibus
• 3500kg GVW tipper
• Mobile compressors
• Plate rammers
• Mobile pumps
