What are they?

A season ticket is a calendar monthly way of paying for your long stay parking, which means you don't have to remember to buy paycards.

How much do they cost?

Currently a season ticket costs £116.09 per month.

An eco-friendly season parking ticket cost £58.04 per month.

Where can I buy a season ticket?

They can be bought from any of the following retailers:

  •  Parking Control Office in Sand Street car park 
  •  States Treasury in Cyril le Marquand House
  •  Trading Standards Department in the central market
  •  Market post office in the central market
  •  West Park pharmacy
  •  St Ouen post office
  •  Roseville Street post office
  •  various Spar shops
  •  Quennevais post office
  •  Broad Street central post office

Eco-friendly permits are only available from Parking Control Office in  Sand Street car park.

What is a half permit?

A monthly half permit is a convenient way of paying for your parking for a month in one of the public car parks which are further from the center of St Helier. These car parks are charged at half the normal rate – 1 unit for up to 2 hours.

How much do they cost?

Currently a half permit costs £58.04 per month.

An Eco-friendly half permit costs £29.02 per month.

Where can I buy a half permit?

They can only be bought from the Parking Control Office in Sand Street car park.

When are they valid?

They are valid from the first day of the month until the last day of the month. You must ensure that you display the correct season ticket from 8am on the morning of the first working day each month otherwise you will be issued with a parking fine.

How do I use the season ticket / half permit?

Display the season ticket / half permit on the left hand side of your windscreen, making sure that it will not fall off or slip down the windscreen. You must make sure all the details can be seen from outside the vehicle otherwise you may be issued with a parking fine.

Which car parks can I use a season ticket in?

You may use a season ticket in any of the all-day car parks:

 Elizabeth Lane  Patriotic Street multi-storey
 Esplanade  People's Park
 Green Street multi-storey  Pier Road multi storey
 Hue Street  Route du Fort

Can I save money by buying a season ticket / half permit? 

Yes, you save money if you park for 9 hours a day Monday to Friday and even more if you come into St Helier on a Saturday as well and use a long stay car park. It also means you do not have to use paycards so makes parking easier.

Do I have to give any of my details when buying a season ticket / half permit?

No, just go to one of the retailers to purchase a season ticket or Parking Control Office for a half permit. Then place it on your vehicle as described above. You do not have to provide any details such as name, address or vehicle registration number.

What happens if I lose my season  ticket / half permit? 

You are responsible for your season ticket / half permit and if you lose it or it is damaged you must either buy a new one or use paycards for the rest of the month. Lost, stolen or damaged tickets will not be replaced.

When can I buy a season ticket / half permit? 

They are available for sale up to 2 weeks before they are valid.
