Treasury & Resources
The Treasury and Resources Department manages the Island’s finances and assets, ensuring the protection and good use of public funds. Replacing the former Finance and Economics Committee, Treasury and Resources is responsible for all taxation, States budgets and financial policies. It reviews all States activities and spending to advise upon means for reducing waste and inefficiency, so that resources are being applied in the most effective way to support the aims of the States.
The Department is also responsible for the management of States buildings; the allocation and monitoring of public sector manpower levels; and it represents the States in publicly-owned companies.
