Taxes Office

Welcome to the Taxes Office homepage:

Administration of the Income Tax (Jersey) Law and the Goods and Services Tax (Jersey) Law are entrusted to the Office of the Comptroller of Taxes.

Administration of Jersey's international tax agreements, the European Union Savings Directive; Bilateral Agreements with twenty seven European Union countries and Jersey's Tax Information Exchange Agreements with OECD and G20  countries worldwide, are also entrusted to the Comptroller, as Jersey's competent Authority.

Jersey is an internationally recognised finance centre of excellence with a reputation of quality and expertise, as exhibited by Jersey's inclusion on the OECD 'white list' of transparent and co-operative jurisdictions. The Comptroller and his staff are asked, almost on a daily basis, to rule upon complex transactions with an international dimension.

The Taxes Office also performs a vital function for our community here in Jersey, collecting some 80% of total States revenues, helping fund public services such as education and health.

The information provided here will prove of value and assistance to both domestic and international visitors, whether seeking information for themselves or as professional advisers.
