Response
A
The workload of the Hi-Tech crime unit has increased dramatically, year on year. As a result, the States of Jersey Police can build up a backlog of examinations that require qualified, temporary resources to assist in clearing this volume work.
The majority of work involves the examination of computers and backlog of mobile phone examinations. It is not possible to quantify the number of cases as the company charges on a time basis not per case. No details of individual cases will be given.
B
The company used is Forensic Footprints, based in the UK.
