Could you please tell me the cost of cleaning the police station windows at the new station.
Response
The cost of cleaning the windows on the recently constructed States of Jersey Police Headquarters is commercially confidential and the public authority is therefore refusing this request under Article 33(b) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
Exemption applied
Article 33 Commercial interests
Information is qualified exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes a trade secret; or
(b) its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of a person (including the scheduled public authority holding the information).
Article 33 is a Qualified Exemption and is therefore subject to a Public Interest Test.
Justification for the exemption
The information is of significant commercial value and its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of the third party and the scheduled public authority.
Therefore we consider it would not be in the public interest to release this information at this time and this exemption should be maintained.
