Request
Can you tell me if Mr Charlie Parker declared any conflicts of interest before taking up his post as chief executive of the States?
Also, has he formally declared any since he has been in post?
Response
Mr Parker had no interests in reference to Jersey prior to his arrival in Jersey. He had no pecuniary interests in any aspect of Jersey’s business or company arrangements. He had no personal interests in Jersey through friends or family. He had no Community interest via previous associations with voluntary sector or community organisations.
Since his appointment Mr Parker has always declared an interest where appropriate. For example, throughout the recruitment of personnel which has been overseen by the Jersey Appointments Commission, if Mr. Parker has known, or known of any candidates, that has been declared at the appropriate time in the process.
