Request
Please could you tell me the number of non tax paying pensioners who do not receive Income Support?
These would be pensioners who are entitled to cold weather payments and help with GST but who are not entitled to receive a Christmas Bonus nor the vouchers from Sir David.
Response
The Government of Jersey does not hold information about who is a taxpayer, or not, in relation to Income Support benefits. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 therefore applies.
The total number of claims for the Community Cost Bonus for 2020 was 1093. These claimants do not pay income tax and do not receive Income Support.
