Can you supply details on:
1) Any remuneration paid on an annual basis to any members of the Board of Management of the Jersey Teachers’ Superannuation Fund?
2) How many times a year the board meets, on average?
Response
1) The members of the Management Board of the Jersey Teachers Superannuation Fund are honorary positions and are not remunerated.
The only member of the Management Board who is remunerated is the Independent Chairman who is paid £35,000 per annum to undertake this role.
2) The Management Board meets four times per annum. In addition, there are sub committees for audit, publications and, ill health and death benefits. These meet as required.
The investments of the Jersey Teachers Superannuation Fund are managed within the States of Jersey Common Investment Fund (CIF) and three members of management board, including the Independent Chairman, also attend the Treasury Advisory Panel which governs the CIF.
Details of the frequency of meetings are detailed within the JTSF Annual Report (page five) which can be found below.
