Does Jersey have a policy / regulations related to lobbying, or which relates in part to lobbying government? If so please can you provide a copy.
Does the Government of Jersey have any policies which relate to transparency in the public sector, either whole or in part? If so please provide a copy.
Response
There are Laws which govern how government operates which are set out below.
Under these Laws sit the Members and Ministerial codes; the Public Finances Manual, which includes competitive processes for tendering and disclosures around related party transactions; various elements of practice relating to employment, including the Civil Service Code; as well as the Anti-Corruption Policy. Together these documents cover governance arrangements relating to engagement with private interests, such as gifts and tendering, and reporting, i.e., activities associated with lobbying and transparency.
Also attached is the current Anti-Corruption Policy. Please note this policy is currently under revision as part of the developing an Anti-Fraud and Corruption Strategy.
