Please advise sow many tax returns were incorrectly filed by those born outside of the Channel Islands or the UK in 2023 in Jersey for the last tax year.

Please confirm how many tax returns were incorrectly filed by those where English is not their first language in Jersey in 2023 for the last tax year.

C

Please confirm how many fines were issued to those born outside of the UK or the Channel Islands for incorrectly filling their Jersey tax returns in 2023 for the last tax year.

Revenue Jersey only holds information that is relevant to determining a taxpayer’s liability. This does not include an individual’s place of birth, or first language. The information requested in not held, and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
