Statistics Unit
This is the home site for official Jersey statistics, providing information on the economy, prices and population of the Island. Official Statistics in Jersey are available here for free download, along with recent Statistics Unit press releases.
The Statistics Unit is at the core of statistical work within Jersey and is responsible for economic statistics, the census and the development of statistics across Government. As such, the Unit works closely with other departments to make more of the wide range of social statistics already produced available from here.

The Statistics Unit produces two annual publications: Jersey in Figures, which brings together statistics and information on Jersey from a wide range of sources; and the Jersey Economic Digest which focuses on the economy of the Island. On average the Statistics Unit produces around 20 publications per annum - here are the release dates for 2008  .

Business and Economy Information about Jersey's economy, including the key sector of financial institutions, Jersey's gross value added (GVA), gross national income (GNI) and the Value Chain Survey. Census The Jersey Census provides a detailed snap shot picture of the population. Energy Trends This section examines the supply and use of energy in Jersey. Households & Housing This section covers the Housing Needs Survey, Income Distribution Survey, Jersey Household Expenditure Survey and the Jersey Annual Social Survey. Labour Market Find out about Jersey’s labour market, including information on average earnings, employment figures for the public and private sector, and labour market demographics. News ReleasesLatest and archived news releases from the Statistics Unit Population Annual information on the population is provided here. RPI & House Prices Price changes are a key economic indicator in Jersey. We publish data quarterly on the Retail Prices Index (RPI) and the House Price Index (HPI). Social Statistics The Jersey Annual Social Survey (JASS) provides official social statistics about Jersey, allowing everyone in the Island to have a better understanding of social issues and for policy to be made from a more informed standpoint.
