Lifting pallet trucks using a forklift truck

Companies with a ground level delivery area receiving deliveries from vehicles with no tailgates or sheeted sides eg refrigerated vehicles, need to have a safe means of lifting a pallet truck into the back of a delivery vehicle if using a forklift truck.

Safe means would be considered to be the use of a suitably designed cage with fork lift pockets and a drop-down flap for entry / egress of the pallet truck. This method would reduce the risk of the pallet truck overbalancing as it is an out-of-balance load.
