Today (4 April) the States of Jersey Statistics Unit has released the Jersey Labour Market Report for December 2006 which covers total employment (private and public sectors).
Headlines:
- In December 2006, 51,780 people were employed in Jersey.
- This total represents an increase of 1,540 on the previous December.
- Seven-eighths of the total were employed in the private sector.
- 430 people were registered with Social Security as unemployed in Jersey in December 2006.
