New headteacher for JCG Prep

21 March 2013

Gill Grieve, the current deputy head at Jersey College for Girls Preparatory School, will take over as head teacher in September this year.

Mrs Grieve (49) has worked at the primary school since September 2006. She was previously deputy head at Grouville School, where she worked for six years, and taught at Rouge Bouillon School before that. She succeeds Andrew Willis, the current head teacher, who is moving to Samares School.

Mrs Grieve was born in Yorkshire and educated in Jersey at Janvrin, Plat Douet, Le Rocquier and Hautlieu schools.

“I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to be able to lead JCG Prep as its next head teacher. It is a thriving and dynamic school with significant strengths, including its good relationships with parents, and we can continue to build on these.

"I look forward to providing innovative learning opportunities so all our students can achieve high standards and the best possible progress,” Mrs Grieve said.

Director of Education, Mario Lundy, said “Congratulations to Mrs Grieve on her appointment. She brings many years of experience to the role and is clearly committed to the future of the school. We wish her well in her new post.”
