Government seek feedback from business on Brexit

14 June 2017

The Government of Jersey is inviting Island businesses to complete an online survey giving their views on Brexit and the potential impact that it might have on their industries. As part of the ongoing Let’s Talk Brexit public engagement campaign the survey, which will be available until Friday 28 July, can be completed online at www.gov.je/letstalkbrexit.

The responses will assist the government in understanding the issues that will have the greatest impact on the Island economy, helping inform the development of future policy and feed into the Brexit negotiations to ensure the best outcome for Jersey.

The Government of Jersey confirmed that all information given in the survey will be anonymous and treated in the strictest confidence. No individual identifiable data will be shared with any other States department and any comments made in response to the open-ended questions will be checked to ensure they cannot identify the business or individual responding or any individual being referred to.

The Let’s Talk Brexit Residents’ Survey, which ended on 19th May, was accessed online by over 1000 Islanders, with 977 providing full or partial answers to the questions. 80 Islanders also responded by completing paper-based surveys. The results of all the paper and online surveys are currently being collated and analysed by the Statistics Unit. The results will be made publically available from mid-July.
