Sewer Work In Queen's Road

16 November 2006

Work is being undertaken on the sewer in Queen’s Road at the junction with Lower King’s Cliff, starting Saturday 18 November and lasting approximately a week. Traffic in Queen’s Road will be restricted to one lane, with traffic control, whilst work is in progress from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and from 9am until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. It will, however, be necessary to close Lower Kings Cliff for the duration of the week.

This work is vital preparation for a project to construct a surface water sewer and refurbish the existing foul sewer in La Pouquelaye and Lower King’s Cliff which will start next year. It is important that this work is done now to ensure that it is completed before the lower stretch of Queen’s Road is resurfaced early in the New Year.

As Lower Kings Cliff will be closed at the junction with Queens Road while work is in progress, access to Lower Kings Cliff, Richmond Road, La Clos du Paradis and La Pouquelaye as far as D’Auvergne School, will therefore only be available via Rouge Bouillon.
