Registered Employee support payment

How to apply

The Registered Employee support payment provides financial support of​ a one-time payment of £250 if you: 

  • have lived in Jersey for less than 5 years
  • aren't eligible for Income Support

Find out if you can claim Income Support by using the Income Support eligibility check.

To complete the Registered Employee support payment form, you'll need your:    

  • bank details 
  • social security number  
  • home address​​

You can ask someone to complete the form on your behalf if you're unable to do it yourself.

Eligibility for the payment

To qualify for the Registered Employee Support payment, you must​: 

  • be aged 18 or over 
  • have registered status and live in Jersey 
  • have been a resident in Jersey for less than 5 years 
  • have contribution earnings of no more than a total of £7,348 for May, June and July 2025 
  • not live in a household that meets the residency condition for the Income Support scheme 
  • have a Jersey, or other accepted UK bank account in your name

Your application may be rejected if you don't meet the above criteria.  

We also accept British Neobanks such as Revolut, Monzo and Starling. 

After you’ve applied

Once you've completed your application, you'll receive a confirmation email letting you know that your application is being processed. 

If your application is successful, you'​ll receive a one-time payment of £250.     

This payment is made on an individual basis.  

It will be made: 

  • directly into your bank account​
  • within 2 weeks after Tuesday 30 September 2025

Applications are processed automatically. If yours doesn’t meet the criteria, we'll review it and may ask for more information to help with the decision.​
