Requirements, qualifications and training for registered childcare providers

Statutory Requirements for registered settings

After registration has been granted, the registered person and staff within that setting must continue to meet standards to ensure compliance with the Day Care of Children (Jersey) Law, 2002.

The Early Years Statutory Requirements are for settings caring for children from birth to school entry age. The Childhood Statutory Requirements  are for settings caring for children from three to 12 years of age.

Requirements of registration for registered childminders

The requirements of registration for childminders are standards that you must meet when setting up a registered childcare provision in your own home. You must continue to meet these standards while you are registered and providing childcare to ensure compliance with the Day Care of Children (Jersey) Law, 2002.
