About Independent Safeguarding and Standards (ISS)
Independent Safeguarding and Standards (ISS) is responsible for reviewing the arrangements made for all children who are in foster care, children's homes, or who are looked after by the States of Jersey in some other way.
An independent reviewing officer from ISS will arrange and chair a meeting to discuss every aspect of the child's life including their health, education, leisure interests, and family contact.
The child or young person is encouraged to attend and give their opinion.
