About Closer to Home
Closer to Home is a way of making activities and services accessible for Islanders of all ages. We organise events in various locations around the Island and provide advice, support and activities free of charge.
The mobile event makes it easier for people to access services that can improve their wellbeing by bringing together:
- government services
- parishes
- the voluntary and community sector
A wide range of services and activities are delivered every 6 weeks, catering for all ages, interests and needs. These include:
- health checks, including blood pressure checks
- social activities, including arts and craft workshops
- exercise classes, including yoga and tai chi
- support and advice, examples include presentations and free electric blanket testing from Jersey Electricity (JE)
Next Closer to Home event
The next event will be on Friday 26 April at Trinity Parish Hall from 10am to 12.30pm.

This event is focussing on carers and the over 55s community.
The event will include free blood pressure checks and access to the mobile library.
