What we are doing
The Government of Jersey has committed to ensuring that women, girls and anyone else who needs them, can have reasonable access to free period products as and when they are required. In doing so the Government of Jersey also aims to address period poverty, ensure period dignity, and remove stigma around the subject of periods.
From September 2022, products are available in all schools in Jersey and we are now starting to make products available to the wider community. To begin with this will be run as a pilot, with products available in a small number of locations with the aim to expand this wider next year.
Have your say
Alongside our pilot we are also running a public consultation to find out from Islanders which other types of products they would like to use and from which locations.
