Recycling: boats and jet skis

You can recycle some parts of boats and jet skis
Jet ski

How you can recycle boats and jet skis

Strip your boat of all the metal parts and fittings, including:

  • engines
  • supplies and equipment, above and below deck
  • keels
  • rubbing strips
  • steering
  • controls
  • shaft bearings
  • glands
  • motors
  • gearboxes
  • pumps
  • compressors
  • fuel lines
  • tanks

Once you have stripped the boat of all fixtures and fittings, email the Recycling Team to arrange delivery. When you deliver the fibreglass shell you'll need to take the boat off the trailer yourself.

You can take any leftover metal parts and engines in the metals container.
