Gas canisters

How you can recycle gas canisters

If your fire extinguishers are damaged or corroded they may be unsafe. Bring them to La Collette and inform a member of our staff.

Where you can dispose of gas canisters

How you can reduce or reuse gas canisters

Ask a specialist if your fire extinguishers can be refilled or recharged if they have been used.

You can refill cylinders in a good condition. Damaged or corroded cylinders should not be used or refilled.

Many cylinders can be refilled from where they were purchased including:

  • such as scuba tanks
  • oxygen compressed air
  • camping gas such as propane and butane
