You cannot recycle medicines
Medicines and drugs

​Return your unused prescribed medicines to a pharmacy or dispose of them with your general household waste.

Put blister packs (plastic sheets for tablets) in your general household waste as they can't be recycled.

​Some of your medicines' packaging can be recycled:

  • any paper
  • cardboard boxes
  • glass bottles

Good to know

Don't flush medicines down the toilet.
