How you can recycle musical instruments

  • metal instruments should be put into the metal container at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre
  • instruments made from wood, plastic or a combination of materials should be put into the bulky waste container at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre
  • sheet music can be recycled with your household paper recycling

​If you instrument is in good or repairable condition, take it to the Acorn Reuse Centre at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre, La Collette.

​Musical instruments are often very expensive to buy new, and some may even increase in value with age. Sometimes the box or instrument case is valuable in its own right.
