Recycling: clothes

Put any clothing into bags to keep it dry and put into any of the Salvation Army textile recycling banks. There is a mixed textiles recycling bank at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre and many parishes have mini-recycling centres that accept textiles.

Where you can dispose of clothes

How you can reuse clothes

  • take part in one of the many car boot sales around the Island where you can sell clothes in good condition for reuse
  • donate clothes in good condition to local charities
  • before you recycle school uniform, check if your school has a second hand scheme

Good to know

Clean clothing in any condition (i.e. with holes, rips, etc.) can be recycled in the textile recycling banks.
