How you can recycle large household appliances

​You can recycle large household appliances at La Collette metal recycling facility, including all types of:

  • fridge
  • freezer
  • cooling appliances
  • cooker
  • washing machine
  • tumble dryer
  • washing machine
  • dryer

Empty the contents from your appliance before recycling it. It's a health and safety risk to leave food inside an appliance.

How you can reduce or reuse large household appliances

If your appliances are in good condition you can donate them to a charity shop or sell them.

​​Fridge freezers are made from a variety of components much of which can be recycled. The body of most appliances is steel which is easily recycled.
