What we do
Wild About Jersey aims to get people outdoors, into nature, meeting new people and learning more about the natural world.
We want to protect and support our natural environment by:
- helping people change their behaviour
- encouraging islanders to become environmental volunteers
- monitoring Jersey’s wildlife using volunteers
- connecting organisations so we can work together
- organising events to showcase
We share information on volunteering opportunities and local conservation efforts.
Our aim is to inspire and train you to help us gather vital information. This information is used to protect and improve our environment. This can include things such as:
- monitoring bats
- counting toads
- surveying butterfly species
