The Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills will publish COVID-19 related school data on this page daily (Monday to Friday, term time only).
Daily confirmed new cases are taken from testing data each morning. This data is analysed and reported to CYPES by the close of business each day. CYPES update the figures on this page the following working day.
The schools are closed for half term, 25 to 29 October. This page will be updated when they return on 1 November.
The data below shows the percentage of pupils who are known to have been present across States primary and secondary schools for the morning sessions and exclude nursery classes.
There are a range of reasons why children are not present in school. At the moment this may be related to COVID-19, or other authorised or unauthorised absences. Furthermore, the data is subject to change (for example where a child arrives at school late, their attendance will be updated on arrival).
