About the consultation

We invite you to comment on protection against disability discrimination to ensure that we introduce appropriate protection in Jersey.

We would like you to comment on issues including:

  • how we should define ‘disability’ for the purpose of this law
  • whether any exceptions should be made
  • what provision should be made to require reasonable adjustments to premises

The Social Security Minister will consider any comments received before finalising the draft Regulations and lodging a Proposition for States debate in 2018.

The Regulations are expected to come into force on 1 September 2018.
