About the consultation
The Minister for Health and Social Services is seeking your views on the draft Health and Social Care Professions Registration Law 202-.
This legislation aims to standardise the registration process for health and social care professionals in Jersey, to support a safe and well-regulated care sector on the Island.
The draft Law is expected to be lodged in December 2025 and debated in early 2026 and it will include:
- a standardised process for registering health and social care professionals
- a consolidated list of occupations, protected titles and permitted annotations registrable in Jersey
- provisions for the registration of healthcare professionals in urgent health situations, such as a pandemic
- a process for registering specialist healthcare services, currently Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres
