Latest proposed strike action
Schools have reviewed their contingency plans ahead of the proposed strike action scheduled for Tuesday 17 October 2023 and Wednesday 18 October 2023.
The Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills (CYPES) are committed to doing everything possible to avoid the interruption of learning for children and young people should the industrial action go ahead but the main priority is for safety at school.
Headteachers will make a decision based on their own school’s risk assessments if they can open on 17 October 2023 and 18 October 2023.
