Children's Legislation Programme

The children's legislation transformation programme covers thirty nine different areas of policy.

The programme is organised into three phases and will deliver wide-ranging changes to the laws which impact children's lives. It has been developed in response to the findings of the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry.

The legislative programme will support the delivery of the new Children's Plan, the Common Strategic Policy 2018 to 2022 and Ministers' commitment to put Jersey's children and young people first.
