*Dr Cathy Hamer was appointed by the Education Minister, with the support of a multi-agency panel, and involved representatives from other early years’ professionals in the selection process as the independent Chair.

Please note that Dr Cathy Hamer also attends meetings and sits on interview panels, as required, in her capacity as an early years’ expert.

The EYCP is a single body which brings together the voices of children and families with local representatives from the public, private, community and voluntary sectors.
