The Driver and Vehicle Standards Department does not hold the information requested as it only records the number of vehicles registered and the number of vehicles transferred.

There is no requirement to advise the Department whether a vehicle has been "sold" or "gifted", only transferred, exported or scrapped.

Since the inception of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2015 there have been a number of requests in relation to registered vehicle statistics, which are available to view on the States of Jersey website at the links below:
