Between July 2014 and 1 March 2019, the States of Jersey Police have received eleven reports of incidents in and around the La Port area of St Peter. Most relate to incidents with vehicles although other more serious offences have been alleged.

In 2018, police received an allegation of indecent assault in a van parked at La Port car park. A male was arrested but after investigation, there was deemed insufficient evidence to charge with an offence.

Incidents involving vehicles include: one report of a motor vehicle being taken without consent from the car park, one report of a vehicle being damaged by another vehicle which then left the scene. A report of a female drinking all day then driving from the car park to her home address where she was arrested and later charged. A report of a vehicle with severe front end damage at the car park, the driver was reported for leaving the scene of an accident. One driver was prosecuted for driving without a licence to and from the car park on a number of occasions, he was detained whilst parked at La Port car park in the vehicle.

The RNLI storage cabin was found insecure but this was believed to have been a staff error.

Of the above incidents, three occurred between 1 August 2018 and 1 March 2019.
