Request

Please could you disclose the number of students who do not meet the entry criteria for admission to Hautlieu school on year 10 entry but who still get into the school by the following:

A

Not meeting the criteria but gaining admission anyway and what CAT score they had, or

B

How many appeals processes were there and how many were successful / unsuccessful. If this could also be released with the average to maximum class sizes of year ten and eleven class sizes at Hautlieu that would be great.

I am requesting the information from the last five years for year 10 cohorts

Response

A

Students who do not meet the minimum entry criteria can generally only gain admission by submitting an appeal in line with the Schools Admissions Appeal Process:

School Admissions Appeals Process

In order to protect the identity of individual’s, disclosure control has been applied to confirm that in the last five years there have been less than five pupils who have been admitted without meeting the entry criteria due to exceptional circumstances. Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has therefore been applied.
