Please could you provide the following:

• 2019 Agricultural Statistics Report

• Organic Farming Action Plan

• Food Security Strategy

• Rural Economy Strategy 2017-2021 mid-term review

In a previous Freedom of Information response published on 22 September 2020 it stated that this would be published in October 2020, but it is not yet on the gov.je website.

2019 Agricultural Statistics

The publishing of the Agricultural Statistics Report has been delayed until Quarter 1 of 2021 to enable extra time for all businesses to complete submissions required to compile the report. Submissions of the 2019 figures had been due by 30th September 2020, but submission has been extended to 31st December 2020. 

Organic Farming Action Plan

The Organic Farming Action Plan (OFAP) has not been updated since the 2014 version (see below), however, financial support delivered in 2019 and 2020 has been increased to reflect the recommendations of the 2014 report and is now comparable to support provided elsewhere. Work is ongoing to include a revised OFAP for the next iteration of the Rural Economy Strategy, which will commence in 2022.

Rural Economy Strategy 2017-2021 mid-term review

The mid-term review of the Rural Economy Strategy was undertaken in 2019, in a non-published format which focussed on budget requirements for strategy delivery. Please find a summary of the 2019 review attached.
