I would like to make an FOI request for the following information relating to your current contracts in place for IT Service Management (ITSM) Solutions. For each contract, could you please provide me with the following information:

A

What is the total contract value?

B

When is the contract due to end?

C

Are there options to extend the agreement? If so, please provide details on the potential extension

D

The incumbent supplier.

E

Could you also provide a URL to the notice? (CF or TED preferred)

Could I also please get a reference number with this request?

If any of this information is outside the scope of the FOIA or exceeds the costs permitted by the FOIA, please answer what you can and advise on how to best refine the request.

A

We currently have two IT Service Management Solutions in place.

We have a 12 month support contract in place and this year we spent £11,943 on two contract

B

Both contracts run from 1 August 2020 to 31 July 2021.

C

No decision has been taken on whether we will renew the current arrangement, seeking an exception or go out to tender.

D

It is considered that providing this information may cause a security risk and therefore it has been refused under Article 42 (a) (Law Enforcement) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 (the Law).

Information is qualified exempt information if its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice –

a) the prevention, detection or investigation of crime, whether in Jersey or elsewhere;

Public Interest Test

It is recognised that there is a public interest in providing information in a transparent manner, however this public interest is not considered to outweigh the interests of the government in preventing cyber-crime. It is considered that release of this information may increase risks, particularly in view of major cyber-attacks that have occurred in other jurisdictions in recent years.

The Government of Jersey continuously assesses risk to its network and technical infrastructure and manages a risk treatment plan to ensure every effort is made to maintain a secure and reliable service for its staff and users of its services.
