companies that are registered in Jersey
companies that are registered outside of Jersey but are resident by virtue of their place of central management and control being in the Island
companies that are operating in the Island through a permanent establishment
information in respect of new registrations and ceasing entities is only held for all years in respect of Jersey registered companies. The numbers in these tables therefore only reflect Jersey registered companies.
in some instances, an entity could be created and ceased in the same year, therefore these entities would be counted in both the Ceased and Newly Registered tables in the same year.
