Request

I am referring to the Common Investment Fund in which the Jersey Government holds a significant part of its assets. I managed to found the manager allocation as per the below link:

Common Investment Fund Managers

Would it be possible to see a detailed list of holdings allocated for each of the investment managers. The link above only provides a list of investment managers and the total value of the fund without a specific breakdown.

Response

Portfolio positioning is proprietary information of the appointed Government of Jersey Investment Managers and we are contractually obliged not to disclose exact manager strategic positions.

An example of a contractual stipulation from the Brevan Howard prospectus is included below by way of example.

“The Master Fund has authorised the Investment Managers to disclose information relating to the Master Fund’s portfolio to strategic investors in the Fund and in the Partnership, subject to such investors agreeing not to disclose such information to any third party.”

Article 26 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

Article applied

Article 26 Information supplied in confidence

Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it was obtained by the scheduled public authority from another person (including another public authority); and

(b) the disclosure of the information to the public by the scheduled public authority holding it would constitute a breach of confidence actionable by that or any other person.
