Bicycle shelter (FOI)
Bicycle shelter (FOI)Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 21 September 2021.
Prepared internally, no external costs.
I would like to know how much the three steel and glass bicycle shelters that are being trialled in St. Helier have cost the Jersey taxpayer.
I would also like to know if they have actually been purchased or if they are on a trial, with an opportunity to return them to the suppliers.
The information you have requested is partially exempt under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 because the information regarding costs is already accessible to you on www.gov.je within a previous Freedom of Information response linked below.
Cost of new bicycle shelters. (FOI)
The Government of Jersey have purchased the bicycle shelters and there is no sale or return arrangement with the manufacturers.
The shelters will be made permanent if they are deemed successful, as set out in the Cycle Shelter Pilot Scheme publicity and consultation. Alternatively, they will be moved to other locations, whether it is on-street or re-used at government facilities depending upon the nature of the findings.
