Request
I'm writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act to request some figures around crime.
I would like a breakdown of what are the 5 most common crimes that have been committed in Jersey and also in Guernsey in the last 12 months. If I can get the figures month by month since May 2021, that would be great.
Response
Crime statistics for Guernsey are not held in accordance with Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. The States of Guernsey Police is not a "scheduled public authority" as defined by the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
Article applied

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –
(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or
(b) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
