Parking infractions on Plat Douet Road and Gloucester Street (FOI)

Parking infractions on Plat Douet Road and Gloucester Street (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 18 August 2023.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Please provide dates and times of vehicles that have been booked over the past two years on:

  • Plat Douet road, specifically outside the school
  • Gloucester Street, specifically outside the Robin Hood takeaway.

Please provide a list of all the infractions that can be written on a parking slip and the corresponding fine if paid with a specific time.

The Government of Jersey (GoJ) does not maintain records regarding the specific locations that vehicles are booked as requested.  Therefore, this information is not held, and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

It should be noted that the policing of roads is predominately undertaken by the Parishes, while Jersey Car Parks police off-street parking within their control. The exception being St Helier where Jersey Car Parks Officers undertake beats on certain roads on behalf of the Parish of St Helier.

Individual Parishes would need to be contacted as they use different fine levels for infractions and grace periods for roads under their administration, as provided by the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956 and its subsidiary Road Traffic Orders as appropriate.

Therefore, information may be held by the parishes so you might wish to send your information request in writing to:

Or by post to:

Parish FOI, East Wing, RJA & HS, Trinity, JE3 5JP

You can also find out more about making an FOI request to the parishes at

The attached table details the infractions that can be applied on-street within Parish of St Helier.

Fines applied and any discount for early payment would be set individually by the various parishes, therefore, this information is not held, and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

You may wish to contact the parishes using the information provided above.
