Energy from Waste plant contracts (FOI)

Energy from Waste plant contracts (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 28 April 2016.

Request

Will the Minister list all the contracts that were signed in relation to the Energy for Waste Plant from 2008 stating the following information. The firms or bodies the contracts were entered into, the nature of the contract, and the value of the contract.

Response

There are many consultants, contractors, advisors and companies which have contracted with the States of Jersey in relation to the Energy from Waste Plant since 2008.

These can be full contractual agreements, specific appointments, terms & conditions, service agreements, memorandums, deeds, etc.

Not all of these are held electronically for easy reference.

It is estimated that the time to collate all correspondence would exceed 12.5 hours.

Regulation 2(1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) Jersey Regulations 2014 allows an authority to refuse a request for information where the estimated cost of dealing with the request would exceed the specified amount of the cost limit of £500. This is the estimated cost of one person spending 12.5 working hours in determining whether the department holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.

To answer this question as specified would take more than 12.5 hours of work and therefore the Department for Infrastructure is unable to provide an answer.
