Can I have RTC (road traffic collision) data and data showing accidents involving cyclists/pedestrians for the following roads:

A

Trinity Hill

B

Queen's Road

C

La Pouquelaye

After clarification, it was established that data over the last two years was being requested and information relating to accidents involving motor vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.


Response

There were nine recorded injury accidents during the period requested. No pedestrians were involved.

A

Trinity Hill

In 2014, there were two RTCs:

  • one involved a cyclist and a motor vehicle, resulting in a minor injury to the cyclist who admitted failing to look when pushing off
  • one involved two motor vehicles, resulting in a minor injury to one driver

There were no RTCs resulting in injury in 2015.

B

Queen's road

In 2014, there were two RTCs:

  • one involved a lone cyclist who skidded and fell off
  • one involved a motor vehicle and a motor cycle and resulted in a minor injury

In 2015, there were four recorded RTCs:

  • two involved lone cyclists. One skidded on a drain cover and the other got shopping caught in the front wheel
  • one involved a solo motorcycle, where the rider skidded and fell
  • one involved two motor vehicles resulting in one minor injury

C

La Pouquelaye

In 2014, there was one RTC involving two motor vehicles, resulting in a minor injury to one driver.

There were no RTCs resulting in injury in 2015.
