Request

A

Please could you provide the full register of gifts and free accommodation given to ministers and senior civil servants during the past three years?

B

What is the policy on what is included on the register?

Clarification received

Senior civil servant was meant to cover those included on the register of gifts, so all of those who are covered by this. If that is not just senior staff then please ignore the word senior.
Given the previous request, the end of 2014 to date please.

It is the responsibility of employees to ensure that they adhere to the Code of Conduct (Code) and abide by the principles set out in the Code.

Under the Code, each department should follow the guidance:

Gifts and Hospitality Register

A gifts and hospitality register should be maintained by departments in which entries will be made of gifts and hospitality received by departmental officers which have been approved by the Head of Department. It will not be necessary to record gifts of token value (eg diaries, flowers, etc) or normal working lunches for example. The registers will be subject to review by internal audit.
