Review of travel policy and recommendations for improvement
Information has also been provided to the Public Accounts Committee.
The flight costs incurred by Ministers and Assistant Ministers are already published on an annual basis. Recent available figures form part of Appendix 3 and an updated report is due to be presented to the States later this year.
We have applied Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011, a Scheduled Public Authority may refuse to supply information if it is cost excessive to do so. It is considered that breaking down the costs any further than the information already supplied would be cost excessive.
Article 23 – Information accessible to applicant by other means
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
